And, yes, we’re going to be taking every excuse to mention that title as often as we can because… we couldn’t have done it without you, our incredible clients!

As if winning Branch of the Year wasn’t enough of a spoil, our team was recently treated to champagne and sushi at the Fire Room in Bedfordview. It was a truly lovely evening, where good food was matched by good company.
After all, the family that plays together, stays together!

Maryke recently explored Nirox sculpture park with her husband and friends. Highlights included writing down a wish and hanging it on the wish tree to a enjoying a delicious lunch at ‘And then there was fire’ restaurant and sipping pina colada’s in real pineapples.
Durea loves an opportunity to go explore and find our Johannesburg's hidden treasures. She and her twin sister found themselves at the Spier Tasting Room at the Indaba Hotel recently for some wine tasting and quality time together.
“There is also nothing better than an amazing meal, paired with an interesting wine, while relaxing in the sun,” she says of her experience.
An avid fan of any activity that spends her free time outdoors, Ntsakisi always looks for new places to take a park walk or go on a hike wither her family. Recently, she took in the fresh air and the gorgeous landscape at Kingskloof.
Her smile says it all! Bernice’s recent attendance of the Glimlag Music Festival with her friends was made even more special and Instagram-worthy when she got to meet South African singer, Demi Lee Moore.
The Bunny Hop Haven is one of Janet and her family’s favourite monthly pitstops. The amazing sanctuary for all rescued creatures great and small, from exotic pets to farm animals, is also an educational play centre for children. Janet says, “It’s always super hard to visit and not “accidentally pack one of them into our bag” to take home!”
Rene’s second bundle of joy is almost here and we wish her all the best as she puts the finishing touches on her nursery and checks off her hospital back check list. She officially started her maternity leave on 21 October and, while we miss her already, we know that the upcoming weeks will be an incredibly precious and special time for her.
We loved the opportunity to spoil Rene and celebrate her baby bump, and were all left feeling more than a little broody after her recent baby shower celebrations.
With baby number two nearly here, Rene is spending some well-deserved special time with baby number one, Chinique. We love these pics of the two of them at Clay café and strawberry picking. It’s clear that Chinique loved every minute!
Changing the face of the future
My patients often mention that following a botulinum toxin appointment with me, they receive fantastic feedback from friends commenting on how great their skin looks. When they ask me when they should return for their top up, I respond: "when the compliments stop!"
Botulinum toxin, more commonly known as Botox, can be a controversial treatment. In the short video below, I talk about the discovery of Botox and its evolution. As Skin Renewal's medical director, I continue to be impressed at the results which I see in patients in the medical realm, in addition to aesthetic transformations, which are more frequently spoken about and highlighted.
Botox was almost discovered by accident and in this video I give details about its incredible discovery. I personally have seen superb results in a few common conditions. Bruxism is a condition in which you grind, gnash or clench your teeth, I have injected Botox into my bruxism patients and been excited to learn of their relief for what can be a painful condition.
I have also used Botox as a solution to hyperhidrosis, which is abnormally excessive sweating not related to heat or exercise and I have witnessed fantastic results in my patients for hyperhidrosis particularly in the underarm area.
Patients that suffer from rosacea/excessive redness and acne, have also witnessed transformations when Botox is used to decrease the activity of the sebaceous glands. My team of medical doctors and I are also seeing superb results in the treatment of migraines and hair loss, as it relaxes the muscles on the hair and increases circulation in the area.
