What we're up to out of the office
One may argue that the team of excellence at Cape Quarter have a shared passion for the outdoors. Kayla has been mastering the art of natural horsemanship, and in doing so, has built an incredible bond with her young horse, Tawny.
Claire has taken on a new challenge in training her own young horse (fresh off the racetrack) to compete in Eventing – a three phase discipline involving Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country. First event? The One Day Eventing at Sandringham on 11 June.
Another sport which involves both speed and jumps is Enduro. If you’re a novice interested in this sport or a passionate and knowledgeable pro, chat with Motorcross enthusiast Storm the next time you visit our branch.
Speaking of being passionate and knowledgeable, did you know that Riekardt is an avid and accomplished photographer? Well, you do now! He focuses on Retro-Film photography, which is not just a conversation starter with this member of our dream team, but we must say that once you get him started talking about it, it may be tricky to get him to stop. Kind of like if you get any one of us talking about skincare!
Dr Ross Connor recently joined Cape Town’s most prestigious race, the Two Oceans half (21.1km).
One of the most spectacular routes around the Cape Peninsula (and often voted as the most breathtaking course in the world), bragging rights go to Dr Ross who managed to finish in a mighty 1hr47 minutes.
