What's been happening in our branch recently:
New to the medical therapist team is Capetonian Ganeefah. An Isa Carstens Academy graduate, Ganeefah also has the prestigious CIDESCO certification to her name, signifying her commitment to excellence in skincare therapy. CIDESCO (Comite' International d'Esthetique et de Cosmetologie) represents and promotes the highest professional standards of Beauty Therapy in the World.
After an internship with Skin Renewal last year, she has now proudly joined the family, turning her aspirations into reality. Ganeefah’s greatest joy comes from empowering others to look and feel their best, positively impacting the lives she touches. We are thrilled to have her dedicated energy on board.
Holidays a distant memory? We’re still sharing stories of ours and our breakaways, whether out of Cape Town or a stay-cation, loving our happy connection time with family, friends and, of course, ourselves. Here’s what we got up to.
This month, we’ve completely fallen in love with Heliocare 360 Sensation SPF 50+ - and for many good reasons. Not just our product focus this quarter and beyond (sunscreen is a year-round product, after all), this is a vital skin treatment product, too.

A few Skin Renewal branches have recently participated in Blood donation drives, and more recently, a member of our family has highlighted the need for bone marrow donors. We are reminded about advancements in medicine and how one life can be instrumental in saving another.
Bone marrow is essential for maintaining a healthy red blood cell supply and supporting the body's immune functions. A bone marrow transplant can assist in replacing compromised bone marrow, treating certain cancers and genetic diseases and boosting the immune system.
Dr Tarryn Christie's son Leo has been diagnosed with MECOM-Associated Syndrome, an extremely rare genetic disorder that causes complete bone marrow failure. Leo's bone marrow can no longer produce red and white blood cells or platelets. He is reliant on regular blood transfusions to prevent him from having a life-threatening bleed and is at constant risk of severe infection. This is only a temporary fix, and Leo's only chance for survival is a bone marrow transplant.
