“Hello!” from all of us at the Durban branch. It’s been a busy few weeks as we wrap up the year and more to our new premises. In amongst the packing, we’ve had lots to celebrate as a team and, as always, we’re proud to keep bringing you the most industry-leading, trend-setting treatments and products for “love the skin you’re in” results. Like we said, we’ve got lots of news, so let’s get going (and glowing)…

There’s no denying that this year has been challenging for all of us. At Skin Renewal Durban the last few months have upped the ante, throwing us some additional curveballs but rather than focus on the ‘cloud’, as always we’re grateful for the silver lining which has been our team’s unwavering positivity and incredibly inspiring focus as we look forward (with much enthusiasm) to our move into our BIGGER and BETTER Florida premises. Our address will be different but the contact details, warm welcome, friendly faces and extensive safety precautions you know and love will stay the same. Just so you know, we are currently closed and busy packing up and getting settled into our new home – 304 Florida Road – where you can pay us a visit from 13 December 2021.
Our Therapist Kovanna, and both our doctors will however be available at our sister branch in Umhlanga to assist you during this transition period. You can make bookings to visit us at our new premises using all the usual platforms, we look forward to welcoming you there from the 13 December.
Because we’re always on a mission to get our patient’s the best results in the skin department, we love a good before and after that shows the remarkable difference our recommended series of treatments makes. Recently, Dr Caitlin von Bardeleben consulted with a patient who wanted to bring back the glow to his skin. Under her guidance, with regular treatments spaced 2 to 3 weeks apart, his results speak for themselves and we love that this “happy customer” has referred several new patients to us. Clearly, Dr Caitlin understood the assignment. Just look at these results…
The patient had 6 treatments consisting of 6 x Azelaic Ferulic Peels with Teana Radiance and PDT light sessions, his homecare was Neostrata Illuminating Serum used twice a day, Skin Brightener as his day cream with SPF and Lamelle Restore Cream a night cream.
Ann Beresford has been a long-time patient of ours, so she’s really a part of the Skin Renewal Durban family! When we heard that she was celebrating her 80th birthday, we surprised her with a gift to thank her for being such a gift to us twice a month, for the past six years. We hope we all look as good as you do Ann when we’re 80!
One of our world-class Doctors, Dr Caitlin von Bardeleben, celebrated her 30th birthday last month, and we teamed up with our sister branch at the Umhlanga Arch to treat her to an evening of painting, bonding, lots of laugh and, of course, some delicious treats. Dr Caitlin, you make 30 look FABULOUS!
Our wonderful housekeeper of eight years, Sindi also celebrated her birthday recently and – because we love any excuse to celebrate this beautiful face and positive presence – cake and an array of other baked deliciousness was the order of the day. Wishing you a year ahead as bright as your smile, Sindi!

Since 2019 we have chosen to support The Seed Fund as the benefactor of our corporate social initiative. The beneficiaries of The Seed Fund are based at the Malacca Road informal settlement. We currently support them by providing the children of this community with a meal every Wednesday when they attend their homework club and we are in the process of putting together Christmas Gift hampers for each child, too.
Our involvement in The Seed Fund is a dynamic one as we respond to the needs of our beneficiaries in a meaningful way. In June last year many of you will remember when a fire raged through this settlement causing immense destruction and loss of both property and homes. We have joined the efforts to continue to assist with the aftermath of the disaster by collecting soft furnishing as well as clothing and food. We are also raising funds to help with the construction of the communities homes.
