Time flies when you’re doing what you love! It’s been a little while since we shared our news with you and we’ve got a lot to mention, from getting know some new faces to saying farewell to a familiar one, from an “I do!” to a new must-have treatment, from full hearts and camera rolls from our annual conference to “Brotox”. So, our yourself a cuppa of whatever signal a mid-rush pause and let’s catch up...

Branch Leader, Kim, a proficient somatologist, obtained her diploma in 2011 from the Success International Health & Skincare Academy. After completing her education, she began a career with Steiner Transocean, serving aboard Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean International Cruise Lines. She journeyed across the seas for three years, initially as a skincare specialist and then as an assistant manager. Before joining our team as Branch Leader, Kim was Branch Leader at our Parkhurst and Waterfall branches, as well as co-leader at the Illovo branch before that.
Co-Leader, Lavern, comes from the picturesque landscapes of Kwa-Zulu Natal. She proudly holds a prestigious NQF Level 4 certification alongside an esteemed ITEC Diploma, which she followed up with a remarkable tenure spanning over 16 years in the vibrant beauty spa industry. Lavern's professional journey commenced as a distinguished senior therapist and adept front desk coordinator upon her relocation to the bustling metropolis of Johannesburg in 2014.
Desk Assistant, Yolande, is a distinguished somatologist who qualified at Success International in Johannesburg. She originally joined Skin Renewal Fourways in March 2009 as a therapist. In October 2009, she was recognised for her exceptional skills and dedication, resulting in a well-deserved promotion to the branch leader position at Skin Renewal, Irene. Since then she has fulfilled the role of branch co-leader at Skin Renewal, Brooklyn, applied her vast knowledge and expertise at Skin Renewal branches in Fourways, West Rand and Parkhurst, and made substantial contributions to stock management and procurement within the Skin Renewal Distribution Centre’s team. Her journey – and current role within our branch – is a testament to her unwavering commitment and passion for the aesthetic industry.
Concierge, Bhongo, obtained her CEDESCO accreditation from the International Academy of Health and Skin Care Therapists in Cape Town in 2013. She worked at Yamaya Spa before relocating to Johannesburg in 2015, spending two years at Sorbet. Driven by growth, she opened her own mobile spa. Nomabhongo now joined Skin Renewal, after being drawn to our esteemed aesthetic and holistic approach. An ardent follower of fashion and elegance, her passion aligns perfectly with our brand.
Meet our medical therapists, Lorian and Soné, who join us from the West Rand and Morningside branches respectively.
Lorian is a firm believer in work ethic and professionalism, having started her journey in the beauty industry and made her way to medical aesthetics.
Soné is a dynamic and enthusiastic medical therapist whose dedication and energy are at the core of her approach to aesthetic medicine.
It's not goodbye, it’s good luck! Having been a truly appreciated and all-round wonderful member of our Fourways branch family for eight years, Lourita left us on 12 March to join the new Lynnwood branch. We will miss her but wish her all the best as she brings her unique blend of personality and professionalism to the latest addition to the Skin Renewal Group stable.
On 24 March, Soné tied the knot, marrying her partner of five years, Gerdus. We enjoyed sharing in her excitement and celebrating with her a couple of weeks before the wedding day (with some fun and games) and can’t wait to see the official pics. We’re sure that she made a truly breath-taking bride!
