Welcome to our first newsletter of 2023! We don’t know about you, but we’ve certainly hit the ground running and can’t believe it’s the month of love already.

The team behind the journey comprises of marketing, training, operational, finance and of course your branch leader. Sharon spent the weekend of the 11th and 12th of February with the Skin Renewal team on the Annual Leadership Conference.
Ideas were shared, passion was ignited and innovation explored. Sharon can't wait to share the energy and vision with her team and for YOU, our valued patient, to continue to be a part of the Skin Renewal journey and family.
Meet our new doctor
This month we’re excited to officially welcome Dr Darienne to the Parkhurst team. With experience in aviation and emergency medicine – she has a diploma in Primary Emergency care – Dr Darienne completed her MBChB at the University of the Free State in 2015, and is thrilled to be a part of the Skin Renewal family. With a passion for making people feel like the best version of themselves, the aesthetics field is the perfect fit for this self-described “people person” with a bedside manner as beautiful as her smile.
Dr Darienne is married with two beautiful fur babies, who she loves spending quality time with when her ‘out of office’ is on.
Dr Darienne will be on the next Minki season - watch this space!
Meet our new medical therapist!
Marisa is back! Or, as we prefer to say, back home. After bringing her unique brand of sunshine to the Illovo branch for the past three years, we are very excited to have Marisa back as a result of the closure of the Illovo branch in December 2022. It’s definitely a case of one door closing and another opening because our clients are as excited by her return as we are.
Medical Therapist Marisa recently celebrated her 60th birthday. Happy Birthday, Marisa! Here’s to your best decade yet and a year ahead filled with health and much love.
Welcome back, Dr Lilli!
No stranger to the greater Skin Renewal team, having worked at several branches over the years, the Parkhurst branch feels as privileged to have Dr Lilli join our team as she feels to work in such a beautiful environment every day.
A motorsport fanatic, Dr Lilli brings the same energy, passion, and a desire for excellence associated with F1 into her work. Holding a BSC in Human Physiology and Psychology from the University of Johannesburg, and an MBChB from the University of Pretoria, Dr Lilli started her career with three years of service, at Tembisa Hospital. Afterwards, she decided to explore the lighter disciplines of medicine.
Wanting to meld her artistic and medical skills, Dr Lilli joined Skin Renewal in June 2017, undergoing an extensive 3-month in-house training program during which time she shadowed Dr Maureen Allem as well as other doctors at Skin renewal.
As a member of AAMSA (The Aesthetic & Anti-Ageing Medicine Society of South Africa), there’s no doubt that Dr Lilli really knows her stuff!
Housekeeper Eunice makes Parkhurst "Home"
A part of the Skin Renewal family for two years, Housekeeper Eunice joined our branch team at the start of this year. Her caring spirit is already not only noticed but sincerely appreciated by all of us. We know that all of our clients will come to love her as much as we do already!
\Be sure to say ‘hi!’ to Eunice the next time you pop in. And, if you have a joke, share it with her – she has the best laugh!
Medical Therapist, Kelly, is expecting her bundle of joy at the end of February and we loved the chance to celebrate her and shower her beautiful bump with gifts.
Kelly, we wish you a fantastic maternity break and look forward to having you back in July.
Our branch Leader, Sharon, is soon-to-be a grandmother, or as we see her, a GLAM-mother. The arrival of her daughter’s little one is just around the corner.
Congratulations Sharon! We know that you’re going to be the best granny ever!
Sharon also recently celebrated her 28th wedding anniversary with a hot air balloon ride which she describes as, “Definitely a bucket list moment!”. Here she is with her handsome hubby and son.
Our Co-Leader, Yolande, is no stranger to managing logistics and juggling schedules, which is why we know she rocked the back-to-school vibes.
