After COVID kept us physically apart for so long, it was absolutely wonderful for all of our phenomenal support staff and leaders to be together again, in one place, for our annual Skin Renewal Leaders Conference, held at Midrand’s Courtyard Hotel – our Waterfall branch’s neighbour.
Each session was more edifying and more insightful than the other, and the conference – and conversation – was a true celebration of what unites us; our different leadership styles underpinned by a common love for the Skin Renewal brand and gratitude for being a part of the Skin Renewal family.
A weekend of self-reflection, self-awareness, goal setting and forward planning, our West Rand team left the conference feeling inspired, encouraged and motivated to join the other 17 branches in making 2022 our best year – as individuals and a team – yet!
Skin Renewal Leaders Conference 2022
Our new Branch Co-Leader, Joy, moved from Bloemfontein to Jo’burg in 2017 and we’re so glad that she did!
With almost a decade of experience in the beauty industry, Joy joined the Skin Renewal family in October 2021 and we are so excited to introduce her as our new Branch Co-Leader.
Interesting Fact:
After three years of studying psychology and criminology, Joy felt the need to pursue her passion and enrolled at the Central University of Technology in Bloemfontein to study Somatology. After qualifying she began practising as a therapist before transitioning to management, then to the role of a sales rep and back to management again, which we couldn’t be happier about!
We’re thrilled to have her as part of our team and look forward to you, our extended West Rand family, meeting her in person.
The month of March saw us celebrate our branch’s 6th birthday, which was an exciting milestone and most definitely an excuse for lots of cake and festivity. And, we’re sure that Rachel, Lorian and Dr Zander will agree that the best people are born in March ‘cos they celebrated their birthdays too – in style! Just check out the tiara and the posing…

Both such an integral part of our West Rand branch, we’d like to give a heartfelt shout out to Rachel and Pretty for all they do every day to make our branch the special place it is and keep every member of our team smiling and cared for.
From ensuring our caffeine is fresh and our coffee mugs are full to keeping our branch looking and smelling clean, fresh and brand new, they put their big hearts and beautiful presence into everything they do and we couldn’t do what we do without their incredible contribution and impeccable attention to detail.

Recently, Dr Helenka braved Mount Kilimanjaro and conquered it, and we couldn’t be prouder of this beautiful, determined woman!
Here’s what she had to say about her adventure:
“On the 19th of February we set off on our Mount Kilimanjaro trek, something that has been on my bucket list since I was a kid. We summited successfully and will always look back at the trip of a lifetime!”

A RETURN ON INVESTMENT THAT’S SO MUCH MORE THAN SKIN DEEP
Between November last year and January this year, we took part in a Skinceuticals campaign encouraging us all to do our bit to contribute to a healthier planet by returning empty SkinCeuticals bottles to any Skin Renewal branch, nationwide. The branch to collect the most bottles would receive R10 000 to donate to the charity of their choice.

We always love a visit from the lovely and ever radiant Marika Opperman. A women who is every bit as beautiful on the inside as the outside and someone who we love to follow on Instagram as she certainly celebrates life and all that it has on offer.

EDUCATION FORMS AN IMPORTANT PART OF OUR DAILY LIVES
Not only is it important for us to educate our patients but it is also good for us to educate ourselves.
