What Is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?
Normal blood contains 6% platelets, in PRP there is a concentration of 94% platelets. This translates to a powerful growth factor "cocktail" which stimulates cellular tissue regeneration to dramatically accelerate healing making it very successful in treating the signs of ageing, as well as assisting in hair, muscle and joint regeneration.
What Makes PRP Safe and Unique?
Since the platelets come from the patient’s own blood, there is absolutely no possibility of an allergic reaction or any other side effects. The process of using a patient's own blood to extract the PRP has earned the procedure the well-known nickname of The Vampire Facial.
About The Treatment:
To develop a PRP preparation, first blood is drawn from the patient. The platelets are separated from other blood cells, and their concentration is increased during a process called centrifugation.
What makes the Doctor PRP system unique at Skin Renewal, is that it goes through a DOUBLE centrifugation process, which concentrates the PRP preparation more than most other systems available on the market and therefore yields a superior result. Not only this, but we also offer a more complete treatment by giving our patients the option of treating the face, neck, décolleté and hands, all in one session at the same rate as a standard procedure.
Once the centrifugation process is complete, the PRP is separated into three parts. The Super Concentrated PRP, known as the "Buffy Coat" or the "Liquid Gold", is usually injected by the doctor into the areas of greatest concern as it yields the best results. The remaining PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and PPP (Platelet Poor Plasma) is applied via needling by the doctor and / or therapist to further enhance the treatment.

We also have various methods of application in order to specifically tailor the treatments to each patient’s needs. We are able to combine both injection mesotherapy techniques with micro-needling to ensure that we deliver this super-concentrated PRP exactly to the areas it’s needed using techniques that will give our patients the very best results as quickly as possible.
